Heavenly Spa by Westin™ is a nature-inspired sanctuary for total body, mind and spirit renewal. It will offer a nurturing menu that combines traditional spa services and ancient healing practices with a unique holistic approach to wellness. Comprehensive facilities include 16 contemporary treatment rooms and a luxury hair spa.

Key to the therapeutic benefits of all treatments are separate “his”and “hers” thermal facilities, which will include hydro-pools, salt-wall saunas and steam rooms. Guests will also be encouraged to unwind prior to spa rituals. An inner relaxation lounge acts as a pre and post treatment area with elixirs and SuperFoodsRX snacks.

Exclusive to Heavenly Spa by Westin™ are customized wet treatment facilities with a chromatherapy shower. Chromatherapy incorporates the use of colored lights in the shower, utilizing specific colors and combinations of color to create soothing effects.

‘Purifying’ treatments will include clay infusions in the steam room designed specifically for the wet rooms.

A daily holistic activity calendar will focus on meditation, yoga, Bangau Putih and Balinese rituals. With a semi-open Wellness Platform, dedicated programs and visiting practitioners will be available to serve both in-house guests and outside visitors

Heavenly Spa by Westin™ will open in early December 2013. Direct street access and ample parking is available for the convenience of outside visitors.

An indulgent food feast at the St Regis Sunday Brunch….

SUNDAY BRUNCH AT THE BONEKA RESTAURANT, ST REGIS HOTEL, NUSA DUA

Image

An indulgent food feast of complete decadence awaits you at the stunning St Regis, Nusa Dua.

I confess I am not a foodie and generally “eat to live”.  Sunday Brunch at the Boneka however, showed how I could change my stance and begin to “live to eat”.

We enjoyed moorish cocktails served in the luxurious King Cole Bar from 11am for 1 hour – long enough to indulge in a few of their signature Bloody Mary’s!!  The beautiful Boneka restaurant then hosts the brunch with a spectacular smorgasbord of food.

The food is fresh and beautifully presented.  The dishes include lobster, oysters, foie gras, wagyu beef and roasted meats from the carvery, valrhona chocolate, tropical fruits and other sinful sweets.

Have I also mentioned how much I adore the St Regis, Bali hotel?  From the glamorous entry with striking multiple glass light-fittings, the lush, evergreen layered vegetation, the perfectly indulgent Remede Spa to the warm and welcoming staff, to the elegant Narumi bone china, the St Regis Bali is first class all the way.

If, like myself,  you are an admirer of decor, design and architecture, you will enjoy the stunning St Regis Bali!

St Regis Sunday Brunch was a total pleasure and a wonderfully memorable experience.

Live music adds a graceful ambiance to an already stylish venue.

The St Regis Sunday Brunch is highly recommended as an elegant venue for an indulgent Christmas/Easter, Birthday, Mothers/Fathers Day or any other celebratory occasion.

HINT:  Complimentary “Children’s Learning Centre” fun for 4-12 year olds so parents can relax and fully enjoy the Boneka Sunday Brunch experience.

Sunday Brunch: 12pm – 3pm

Bali on the road to smoother traffic…

Nusa Dua-Benoa-Ngurah Rai Road OPEN at last!!

Bali’s brand new Rp2.48trillion (US$220 million) freeway between Nusa Dua and Sanur is now OPEN.

The 12.7km toll road has been opened in readiness for the run-up to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation meeting on the island next month.

It’s been a long wait for the controversial tollway to be up and functional. Officials are convinced that the new Nusa Dua-Benoa-Ngurah Rai road toll will reduce traffic congestion in Bali by reducing the current travelling time between Sanur and Nusa Dua from 1 hour to just 6 minutes.

It is predicted that daily traffic on the new road will reach 39,000 vehicles per day, more than half of which will be motorcycles. Motorcycles have a separate lane.

The toll road runs over water, parts of it through an area of previously pristine mangrove forest.

A bonus for those currently driving on the island is that for the next week it will be FREE. From October 1 a toll will be charged.
